No Electricity! 1st day of Class

SO Let's talk about my Wonderful first day of school. First I woke up and guess what? You guessed it! There was no electricity. Then I get this random phone call that we wont talk about any further. Then I go to the kitchen to make some toast.... the best part! LOL there's no electricity! hahaha! So I call FPL only to get the automated guy who informs me that a transformer blew out so this power outage affects 129 people in the complex.

So I get ready for class at 11 and head out. I get to school and of course there is like NO parking! So I park by the pool. I get out of the car and its like ridiculously hott outside. There was really no reason it should have been that hott. I went to the library to print my schedule only to find out that my class is not at 11 am ... it was at 9:30 am. Thats the time that I woke up! I got my work study stuff together and then went to the Fin. Aid office, where this lady gave me sum lip and I wasn't even speaking to her! she felt so stupid when the girl a Was speaking to answered me! lol I grabbed sum lunch, talked to a few friends and waited for my class at 1pm. What a nice hott day!!

Luckily when I got home the electricity was back on, I got my makeup palette which Im so excited about!! And I got a paycheck In the mail!!! Woohoo! I am never on the refuse $$!

Now to prep. dinner for tomorrow.

Lets see... I have 3 more days of class! My Kimmy comes on thursday, and Im keeping my fingers crossed so that I can finally get to volunteer at the Humane Society on Saturday!! YAAY!! Dinner with Michelle on Saturday!

NO school on Monday, So maybe we'll make it a pool or beach day, But sometimes its such a hassle to get to the beach in Miami!!

Back to Sch**l... Effin, efiin, effin!!

So I had a great time in Tampa this weekend! I went to see my bff from kindergarten for her 23rd Birthday!! Yay! Happy Birthday Ebone!!! Smooches** We went to this really nice place named Boomerang. We were in VIP with our bottle of Nuvo! It was really nice! And Ebbie had a blast! yay!!

The drive there was interesting.... so interesting that... I got a speeding ticket in the backwoods of Polk county from this really cute little "Grandpa Cop" as I like to call him. He was such a little old man... I couldn't help but give him a nickname. He even had a little hunchback like sum old people do. LOL

It would have been a lot better if he didn't give me the ticket period, but I was going 87 in a 60 mph zone .... So on the way back I took 75 all the way down and I didn't get a ticket!!! I realized that florida is REALLY flat and If a good ol' monsoon were to come Florida would be non-existent.

On to other news... School starts tomorrow, and I'm really not looking forward to it! But at least it will give me something to do, I guess... Now I just need to work on finding an Internship... *sigh*.... Lets see, My bestie Kimmy is coming on Thursday yay!!! Parrtyy!!

I have been back from vacay ...ugh ...let's see.... It was a blast and I have the bodily effects to prove it.... btw.... Im peeling everywhere!!!! I didnt know you could get sunburn in your scalp!!! My 10 year old niece informed me that you can... she was speaking from personal experience.

I've been getting all my school stuff in order. I've got my textbooks and everything!! I cant wait for this year to be oveerrr!!! Just 9 months...it's like having a baby!! .... which I am not anytime soon! HAHA!

Lets see...I went to Barry yesterday to sign my housing release form... and it's like the freshmen get even bigger every year!! What the hell are they eating?? Man I remember I was pretty small when I got to Barry! now these chicks are like like grown ass woman and the guys are like grown gangsters. Some of them look like they've been through more in life than a 35 year old man!

On other news....UPS is either attempting fraud on me or or someone is hacking into my shit! I have been charged for a total of $380 from UPS and I don't even know where it's coming from My bank says they cant do anything right now but I will get my money back....UPS says the same thing.....WTF!!!! Basically no one can do anything until the money is actually taken.... not pending. So basically someone needs to ROB you before you get your money back!!!

The Mysteries of Life

Sometimes I just have to stop and wonder who or what is out there, connecting us all. The Six degrees of separation in our lives. I wasn't going to Blog about this but It's just too strange not too. I was on Myspace which I never really frequent anymore and I was just clicking on different profiles randomly. So I came across this girl and I started scrolling down her page and I wasn't really reading. Then the cutest little boy caught my eye and I started reading what she had wrote. It was a mini memorial of her 2 year old son on her page. Just a small section dedicated to him. I continued to read and I was so moved by what she wrote. It was so sad, and I caught myself thinking, how could God allow this precious child to die. But I reminded myself that everything happens for a reason. And so I wrote her a note and told her about my mom passing and told her I was sorry for her loss etc... The weird thing was that her son passed on April 19; My mom passed on April 18th.... and what's even more strange....My mom's birthday - June 14th Her son's birthday- June 15th.

It just goes to show that there are so many people suffering and going thru things. Like she said, It was God's way of letting us know that we aren't alone in our struggle. I'm just thankful that there are still a few sincere individuals in the world... and on MySpace.

So....I'm still on vacation so I haven't been blogging at all. Im having a blast away from the hustle and bustle of regular life and I am enjoying every last minute of it. I know as soon as I head back to Miami...Its just gonna be hectic, plus school is right around the corner...UGH!! I took all the pix i could take....and I forgot my cam charger!!!! So I've been using the cam in my phone. Surprisingly, it takes pics pretty well. I'll post an album later on when I get back of all my little adventures! :) Toodles!!
